Calgary/Vulcan/Lethbridge

Rainbow... <3

Welcome to Vulcan, where super-star-trek nerds live. BEST. TOWN. EVER.

That's dedication.

there were so many shops dedicated to star trek... Even the home depot had a spaceship sink!

Spaceship water-tower. WIN.

Star Trek salutation

Vintage grainery. On the prairies. Soooo flat! Unbelievable!

Arriving in Lethbridge!

Played our "sit up straight" game in the car today....  I lost. We visited my dear grandparents and father in Calgary today.... Lovely visit with just a few of my favourite people...   My dad made us Saskatoon berry pancakes... Oh how I've missed his pancakes. They're legendary. When we arrived in Lethbridge after several pit stops on the road... (Taysia christened the prairie highway several times ) and decided against camping, since we saw some dark clouds ahead... So we rented a suite in a [good] motel.  Then it started pouring rain. It was so dense we could barely see to unload our things from the car. Then it started thundering and lightning-ing, and it hasn't quit since. We got completely soaked, but at least we were able to avoid the blistering cold and rain and thunder and lightning, and we got to shower. Yay!
