Yay for first marshmallow-roasting session of the season!
Today we drove from Lethbridge, Alberta to Great Falls, Montana! We decided against driving through Saskatchewan and Manitoba to see a little of the states! But the border crossing people gave us quite a hard time, since mum has a different last name than Taysia and I. But finally, we got out of there, and made it into Montana! It was soooo hot! I was sweating in places I never thought one could sweat! But the scenery was beautiful. Perfect blue sky, and green fields as far as the eye could see! (Not to mention superb weather)
When we got into great falls, we checked in, and got straight to setting up camp. The weather was nice, and not cold, for a [nice] change and we started on our fire, which became nice and big in no time. The marshmallows were delicious, and Taysia and I had a blast playing in the waterpark, until we heard thunder, more thunder, then lightning, then even more thunder! So at that moment, we headed for cover, then we the thunder was over, we ran back to camp, where mum had prepared us a nice warm dinner. All in all, it was a lovely day! :) |
